Join us Wednesday evenings from 6-7 PM in the main hall for Vinyasa flow yoga with Brenda Tackaberry.
Each class is $15 per person, with payment available on arrival via cash or credit/debit. (The hall will be open at 5:45 PM onward to allow for arrival/payment time).

About Your Teacher
Brenda Tackaberry is a YTT200 graduate from the Mynah School of Yoga here in Calgary, and a longtime yogi. Her passions outside of yoga include running, hiking, and soccer, which give her a good understanding of how yoga can support the body in all of its adventures.
You can expect a flowy class with a focus on the breath-body connection, as well as time for exploring extra depth in poses.
All levels welcome.

RESCHEDULED - Community Garden Kickoff Event on Saturday
Join us in the Community Garden!
This event has been moved to Saturday, May 2 from 10 AM - 2 PM.
If you’re curious about the community garden join us in some family friendly activities. Activities will include kids painting on rain barrels and pavers & repotting a tomato plant to take home, plus gardening workshops for adults and an opportunity to meet gardeners. And if you want to get your hands dirty join the gardeners in garden clean-up and consider registering for a garden plot.
There are three types of plots:
• Individual or family plots
• Group plots for folks wanting to garden with others
• Community plots for free weekly produce give away to all neighbours
We also welcome those who’d like to volunteer in the community garden but don’t wish to have a plot. More Info on our Garden Page

Community Cleanup
Join us to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up your community!
We will meet at the North Haven Hall outside on the grassy area. There will be a few leaders who will take groups to different areas that have an excess of garbage. If you know of a place needing attention, please speak up, and we will make sure to send a group there.
Bring a garbage bag and a pair of gloves. We will walk around North Haven and pick up any litter found.

Bike Haven - Spring 2026
We are excited to kick off spring again this year with Spring Bike Haven on SUNDAY May 24 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The event is free for NHCA members, and $2 per rider for non-members and guests.
All riders must wear a helmet.
Expect to see: chalk course for the younger set, obstacles on the grass for those ready to move up a level (or two!), and loads of time to ride your bike and have fun with friends! This will be fun on any kind of bike — from striders to adult bikes!

All individuals must register and agree to waiver.
The first button below will take you to the page to purchase a ticket (free for members, $2 for non-members) and from there, head on to the Cart to agree to the waiver, and pay, if applicable.
If you don’t get a chance to fill it in ahead, that’s ok. We’ll have some paper copies of the waiver available at the event for those that don’t get a chance to fill it in ahead.
On arrival, please head to the registration table to get your riders’ wrist bands.
We will need volunteers for this event to get all the jumps set up, if you’ll be coming out and want to lend a hand please click the volunteer sign up below.
Food Bank Donations:
In the spirit of North Haven’s neighborliness we are asking, if you are able, to bring a food bank donation (cash or food) to our event. We will have a box set up outside near registration for drop off.

Citizens + Students Community Open House
The Citizens + Students Program brings local residents and students together to explore our neighbourhood through research, mapping, and lived experience. Students will work directly with community input to better understand how our area functions today and how it might grow in the future. Strong community participation is essential to making this work meaningful and accurate.

The Good Food Box is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary, whereby anyone can purchase boxes of seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables at a significantly lower cost than the grocery store. With the cost of food increasing, NHCA would like to offer residents convenient access to the Good Food Box Program through our website.
We will be taking orders from April 16-19 and orders will be available for pick-up at the North Haven Community Hall on April 30 between 3 - 6 PM.
There are three different sizes of produce boxes available to purchase:
Small Box: 15-20 lbs of fruits and vegetables - $36.75 includes 5% service fee
Medium Box: 25-30 lbs of fruits and vegetables - $42 includes 5% service fee
Large Box: 35 to 40 lbs of fruits and vegetables - $47.25 includes 5% service fee

Easter Egg Hunt
A fun Easter egg hunt - free for North Haven Community Association members, and $2 each for non-members and guests. Open to all children of North Haven! Bring your own basket and meet us at the baseball diamond by the green playground on Newcombe Place. You can even get a photo with the Easter Bunny!

This all-day event happens twice monthly and is open to all community members 18 and older.
March and April hours will be 9 AM - 4 PM.
Please come down and try out scrapbooking and meet some fellow scrapbookers! Admission is $5.00 and will be collected at the door, CASH ONLY and change is limited. Space and tables are limited so it will be first come first served. We can accommodate 21 people maximum at 1 person per 6’ table and 2 persons per 8 foot table.

CANCELLED -North Haven Lego® Competition 2026
Sorry, this event has been cancelled.
Unfortunately we did not receive enough entries to allow us to run this year's North Haven Lego competition, so we will be cancelling the in-person event March 28.
Existing registrations will be refunded.
We would still love to see your creations though - if you'd like to share a photo of your build, send us a photo through Facebook or Instagram, or by email to community@northhavenyyc.ca and we'll share it on our online profile.

Registration is $5.00 with a maximum of two entries allowed per builder.

Registration must be done in advance through our website, link above. A limited number of entries will be available due to space constraints
Entry registration and fees cut off will be 7pm on Friday, March 27.
Entries are to be original designs only - no kits or builds based on instructions. Entries must be constructed at home and brought to the hall.
For entries larger than 15” by 15” wide, please provide detail in the checkout form
Build categories are for age groups between 8-17 years and will not be required for under 7 years or over 18 years age groups
First, second and third place ribbons and a small trophy will be awarded to the winner(s) of each category in each age group
7 years and under category will have only three winners in total
Adult category winners (first, second and third place) will be decided by a public vote between 1-2:30 pm, with winners announced at 3 pm
Each entry costs $5, with a maximum of two entries per builder allowed
Judges’ decisions are final

Community Garden Registration
Registration for Community Garden plots starts on March 15!
Existing gardeners will be given the opportunity to keep or change their plot for the 2026 season. All other plots are first come first served and are available for use by individuals, groups or communities.
We will need dedicated volunteers to help support community plots - plots to grow produce to help support community members who are experiencing food insecurity. Citizens + Students Community Mapping Workshop
The Citizens + Students Program brings local residents and students together to explore our neighbourhood through research, mapping, and lived experience. Students will work directly with community input to better understand how our area functions today and how it might grow in the future. Strong community participation is essential to making this work meaningful and accurate.
